Mobility grants in vocational training - Staff

GET FUNDING FOR YOUR INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS!

This grant program is funded by the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur du Québec and aims to develop the expertise of teachers, staff and directors of training centers whilst promoting the image of vocational training in Quebec.

Projects eligible for the program

  • Act as a teacher or guest speaker in courses, seminars or workshops for students or teachers in vocational training centres abroad;
  • Carry out targeted development activities and gain greater insight into other models, practices and innovative tools in one’s area of specialization in order to build expertise.

IMPORTANT

We invite you to submit your application before following deadlines: October 31 and February 15.

In relation to the COVID19 pandemic, no application will be processed by Éducation internationale as long as the level 3 travel advisory is still being issued by the Government of Canada (avoid all non-essential travel) outside Canada. No funding will be possible in this context.

However, if the Government of Canada Level 3 Travel Advisory (Avoid non-essential travel) is lifted for your destination before February 15, 2021, Éducation internationale will process and assess your application and keep you informed. In the event that your application is selected and funded, the School Service Center and the vocational training center must not carry out the project abroad if a level 3 advisory warning is issued again for this destination before the start of the project. They will have to reimburse the amount of the grant if they wish to carry out the project despite this warning.

If you travel to another Canadian province, it is your responsibility to inform yourself about the travel restrictions put in place by the other province.

Amount of the grant

The amounts awarded vary depending on the length of the stay outside of Quebec. The results will be announced approximately 6 weeks after each application deadline.

The annual budget awarded for all submitted projects is $85,000.

Deadlines to submit your project

There are 2 application deadlines per school year to submit your project.

  • October 30
  • February 15

We will confirm the receipt and conformity of your application via email within a week of applying.

The acceptance or refusal of your application will be confirmed within 6 weeks after the application deadline.

The internship must be completed before August 31 of the current school year to be eligible in the grant program.
