Éducation internationale invites you to complete a mandate that will allow you to gain professional experience in international development in Peru through the International Youth Internship Program (IYIP). The IYIP experience takes place over a period of seven months: eight days of pre-departure training in Quebec City, six months of internship in the country of assignment and a return-to-work weekend.

THE INTERNSHIP:

Document the training and follow-up processes of adolescents, teachers and health care providers in global sexuality education and to legal and health promoters in the prevention and management of gender-based violence.

  • Transcribe information from tables and audios recorded during training workshops (conducted between July and September).
  • Assist in the development of training workshops and follow-up meetings (photographic and audiovisual recordings, animation and group activities with teenagers, teachers and women).
  • Develop 2 playground format videos that report on workshops and follow-up meetings.

Local partner: Centro de la mujer peruana Flora Tristán

Funding body: Global Affairs Canada (GAC).

Language: Spanish.

Internship schedule: Mid-September 2019 to march 2020.

Profile sought: :

  • Experience in audiovisual recording
  • Basic knowledge in video editing
  • Knowledge of participatory methodologies for adolescents and adults
  • Knowledge of the gender approach and gender-based violence
  • Basic command of written and spoken Spanish
