International Youth Internship Program (IYIP)
Internship in Peru

Éducation internationale invites you to complete a mandate that will allow you to gain professional experience in international development in Peru through the International Youth Internship Program (IYIP) funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC).

The IYIP experience takes place over a period of seven months: eight days of pre-departure training in Quebec City, six months of internship in the country of assignment and a debriefing upon return.

The internships in Peru take place in the Regional Education Directorate of Metropolitan Lima and the Centre of the Peruvien Woman Flora Tristan.

P1 | Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Intern (x2)

Peruvian high schools are using a set of online tools that help educate students. This online learning platform provide students with more than 2 200 short lessons (in the form of videos or practice exercises) to tackle questions regarding math, informatics, history, sciences, and more. The platform also includes teaching tools for teachers. The objective of this mandate is to facilitate the use of the online learning platform.

  • Analyze teachers’ difficulties with the correct use of the platform
  • Support teachers in the use of the platform
  • Promote the platform among teachers and principals.

The Centro de la Mujer Peruana Flora Tristán advocate for gender equality and women empowerment. Multiple events and workshops are undertaken to fight against gender discrimination and violence against girls and women.

  • Attend and report on gender equality awareness workshops and meetings (take pictures, document the events on videotape, assist in the implementation of activities, etc.)
  • Gather and transcribe data during training sessions related to gender equality
  • Create and produce two video clips to report on activities and meetings
